Welcome to Nofilterfriday (or how to survive the rat race)
June 15, 2009Welcome to our happy home. We’re a couple weeks late with launching but that’s ok. We were busy helping out with a community crisis as well as dealing with a robbery. That’s all in the past and now we can get down to the nitty gritty. Which to start off, if you’re in the office right now yelling fuck isn’t the best way to keep your job.
We only have a couple of rules here:
Be excellent to each oth…sorry wrong quote.
Be All that you ca…sorry again.
Seriously though the rules are simple:
Be Honest
Be Yourself
The ability to strip away all of the weird Political Correctness and just communicate with brutal honesty can be refreshing. When the idea was originally thought up over on cdcstudios.com back in November the idea was to also be so open that you revealed truths about yourselves exposing your innermost selves to the others that follow you on twitter. This site is to introduce more people to the idea of truth and honesty in every facet of their everyday lives. Here’s a couple of excerpts from that original post:
“Every Friday between 3pm and 5pm I will be engaging in #nofilterfriday. This means I’ll say whatever pops into my head and most importantly will honestly answer any questions that I’m asked. This will be difficult and I will honestly say there are very few subjects that I won’t respond well to (too private of info about my wife and kids for example)….”
“…All day every day people have to rein themselves in due to “cultural restraints” or really just to be a part of the social conformality. Take back part of your afternoon and participate in being totally completely honest with the world. Share the fun and get to know yourself a little bit better.”
Sounds fun and actually is great fun, besides it’s a great place to rant about how much something drives you totally fucking nuts or whatever.
Also keep checking the blog for details on the forthcoming NoFilterFriday podcast complete with guests every week. That and hell of a lot more is coming soon.
To paraphrase Mark Twain, If you tell the truth you don’t have to remember a goddamned thing. Works for us.
